Do you want to be a Cycle Coach?

                    If you do this could be an opportunity to get a level 1 certificate in cycle coaching with 50% of the fee paid for.

                  New Level 1 course booked for November 14th (day 1) and December 12th (day 2) at Redworth Hall in Newton Aycliffe.  
                     

                    The course is being part funded by the Tony Blair Sports Foundation, please below below for details.

In the run up to the 2012 Olympics and beyond, the Tony Blair Sports Foundation aims to increase participation in sport by young people in the North East by helping more young people and adults become trained coaches and officials.

In partnership with British Cycling we are looking to recruit more Level 1 coaches who will work alongside experienced coaches in cycling clubs across the North East.

If you’re enthusiastic and committed to sport then becoming a trained assistant coach, qualified coach or an official is something you should think about doing. 

The Foundation will pay 50% of the costs of Level 1 coaching/official qualifications and will then work with you to find a suitable coaching placement within your community if you are not already be attached to a local community club.

Once qualified, members receive a Foundation membership pack which includes exclusive membership number and card which entitles you to full benefits of being part of the Foundation, including  the opportunity to do a Disability Inclusion Coaching Course free of charge.   

All we ask in return is that you agree to volunteer some of your time in your local cycling club.  Working in partnership with British Cycling we will ensure you get full support right from the start to receive full training and qualifications as well as the chance to make a real difference to young people and sport in our region.
