CYCLE TRAINING CAMP 2010 - MAJORCA
 
Fancy getting in some early season training in the sunshire?  Who doesn’t!  Richardsons Club Club is organising a week’s training camp to Majorca which will run from Monday 12th April to Monday 19th April 2010.
 
The training camp will be hosted by Master Coach http://www.mastercoach.co.uk/training-camps - click on the link for more details.  There will be three group-led rides daily, catering for all levels and structured training is available.  Coaching advice and support will also be provided.  Reigning World Masters, British Senior champions and experienced riders will be there and willing to assist all riders.  In addition non-cyclists who want to travel with their partners will be catered for.
The cost for 7 days half board including transfer, tour guides, etc is £248 pp (£290 for sole occupancy).  Additional costs will be flights to/from Palma.  I am making some enquiries myself re what flights are available and happy to post these details/costs in due course.

We will be staying at the Pollensa Park Hotel in Puerto Pollensa, Majorca which is situated in the north-east of the island, just above Alcudia.  I have put the link for the hotel which gives you some photos/basic info.  I have stayed at this hotel for a training camp on two previous occasions and it was an ideal location.  Great base for cycle routes and nice on an evening if you fancy a stroll along the front to the town.

There is secure bike storage at the hotel and I know that I for one will be taking my own bike out.  However, I have put a question into the camp organisers re bike hire and again will update when I know more.  The club also has access to five bike boxes which can  be loaned out at £10 each for the week.
 
If you are interested in coming along and are happy for me to do the organising please let me know asap as there will be limited places.  Deposit is £50 pp. These trips, and especially at this price, will fill up fast - beware!!
