On Sunday 15th November the first coaching session will be delivered to our new youth academy riders in the top car park at Yorkshire Coast College, Lady Ediths Drive, Scarborough. Flyers and information have been circulated to all the schools and individual flyers have been sent to about 20 young cyclists in the area. The coaching sessions will be delivered at the site for club members aged 12 to 15 years this will be from 2.30pm to 3.45pm. Cost per session is £1.50. Non members are welcome to come and try for 2 sessions.
Club coaches Mark Grange, Toby Boyes and Graham Foulds will be delivering the sessions, however if anyone wishes to help out then please contact Mark Grange markg280@hotmail.com
Remember all our coaches are CRB checked and all sessions will be run by qualified cycle coaches trained by British Cycling. Richardsons CC is the only ’Go Ride’ club in the area with the backing of British Cycling and the local Sports Partnership.
The only requirements for any 12 to 15 years old to attend are:
Road worthy bicycle
Helmet
A signed parental consent form for non members - (all under 16s that have joined the club will have completed one already) which is attached below.

Is this the same as the Go-Ride
This will be under the GO -Ride scheme through BC but Go -Ride is not prescriptive it can cover games, races skills whatever the coaches want to deliver. So this will cover more than the taster sessions at Graham School
Once the youth section is up and running then we will look at trips out on the road, dalby maybe trips to watch some races etc..
