As a British Cycling Coach I have been invited to an event in Bradford and I have a place in my car to take one other young road cyclist who may want to participate in a coaching session by the talent development coach for Yorkshire. Please read below from BC. If any club member wants their son or daughter to attend let me know. Thanks Mark Grange (markg280@hotmail.com)

Simon Watts has recently been appointed as the Talent Development Coach for Yorkshire and the North East, as part of the Olympic Talent Programme (previously know as Talent Team). Part of Simon’s remit is to develop the coaching of youth riders in clubs throughout Yorkshire.
On Saturday 7 November at 2pm Simon will lead a Coach Development coaching session for youth riders on the closed road circuit at the Richard Dunn Centre in Bradford. You are cordially invited to attend and observe this session and the following workshop.
This is an opportunity for coaches to experience some ongoing professional development, share ideas and experience a different coaching style. The coaching session will last until approximately 4pm when we will retire to the function room at the centre for discussion about the session and for Simon to explain his role within British Cycling and how your club can benefit from it. Riders and parents are also welcome to attend the following workshop if they are interested.
For the session to be successful, we require some riders to take part. We would very much appreciate if you could pass this message on around your club to invite youth riders you know to attend. They need to be between 12 and 16 years old but do not need to hold racing licences, we have around 30 places available. They will, however, need to be equipped with a road bike in good working order and suitable clothing including a helmet. They will also need to have completed Parental Consent forms. There will be a small charge of £1.65 per rider to cover the use of the circuit.
