Dalby Forest is closed due to the snow. While you could probably get round bits of the trails on your mountain bike, be advised that if you did have an accident the emergency services might have trouble getting you out. So think carefully before heading up there. Given the dismal forecast, it’ll probably be some time later next week before it re-opens. But we’ll see.
Note that the bad weather is also curtailing many of the club rides at the moment, off-road and on. The main roads are passable, but it’s slippy in places. I felt the back end of the bike start to slide yesterday on a black-ice corner.

A few of us tried a ride at Dalby this weekend (24th Jan). Most of the trails are a challenge, with a good few inches of snow (bomb holes impassable). new world cup track was OK, but fireroads still had 3inch deep snow and in some areas the deadly packed Ice, one to avoid for a week or so I think.
