On 18th May 2009 Richardsons Cycle Club in conjunction with the Scarborough and Filey Sports Partnership are commencing coaching sessions for young riders aged 11 to 14 years old.

Whats Go - Ride?
Go Ride is the name of a national scheme to improve access to cycling clubs.
Richardsons Cycle Club is a registered ‘Go Ride' club with British Cycling our national organisation. These means our club has qualified coaches and is interested in encouraging young people to get into cycling.
The coaching is for school years 7 to 9 and the sessions will cover cycle skills and some races will be held.
Where does the coaching take place?
All the cycle coaching will take place on at Graham School on Woodlands Drive, Scarborough. The coaching will take place in the school grounds and away from other traffic so it is a safe environment for riders.
What time does it take place?
The coaching takes place every Monday and at the following times
4pm to 5pm -Year 7 to 8 - Age 11 to 13 years
5pm to 6pm - Year 9 - 13 to 14 years.
Please arrive in plenty of time for the start of your session.
Can I come every week?
The coaching is on offer for each rider for four weeks at a time. You need to sign up to all four dates as follows:
- 18th May 09, 1st June 09, 8th June 09 and 15th June 09
- 22nd June 09, 29th June 09, 6th July 09 and 13th July 09.
- 14th Sep 09, 21st Sep 09, 28th Sep 09 and 5th Oct 09.
How much does it cost?
The cost is just £6.00 for all four dates.
What do I need to bring?
You only need a roadworthy bicycle and a cycle helmet. Also some suitable outdoor clothing for the weather.
Do I need to pre book?
Yes booking forms are available from either:
- Richardson Cycle Shop on Castle Road, Scarborough.
- Obtain the forms from your school sports department
- Download the forms from this site.
Please return the form to Richardsons Cycle Shop or your Sports teacher along with your payment for £6.00.
