It was round 1 in the North East CX series http://www.cxne.org.uk/index.html today at the Hawes Cyclo Cross Race.  Mike Thompson was flying the flag for RCC and managed to win the youth category by a clear margin.  This is his first Cyclo cross race on a cyclo cross bike so a very good result for him and the club…..well done Mike.

It is round 2 on 19th Sept.   I would recommend anyone in the club to give cyclocross a go you can race on a MTB for your first one and they are very family friendly and spectators get to see the race as the course are only short.  Youth races are usually 30  mins and adults 1 hour.
