Pete Blood led the second of our trail rides for beginners and families around Wykeham forest on Sunday 17th. 

This is his update:

'The Trailride that took place today was well attended with 13 riders plus Jackie and Anne who came to assist me. Many thanks to them as there was a wide range of abilities to monitor. 

'Riders arrived early so was able to go through the registration and bike checks in good time enabling the ride to start at 10.30am. As you would expect the trail were very dry but Kath Davis still managed to find a wet spot to fall into. Some new faces which was good to see and two or three of the group looked quite capable of joining the Thursday rides, just requiring a higher fitness level.

'The ride lasted 2.5hrs which was little longer than expected as my derailer hanger snapped due to a branch caught up in the gears. A bit of a patch up job required but was able to ride on. 

'No one was lost or injured and everyone seem to enjoy the ride probably due to the outstanding weather we experienced.'
