The level will be FAST/GOOD SOCIAL. If not sure ask me or Russ. Distance 40 plus miles.
We are trying to do a big ride once a month so if you want to lead one let me know.

Ok, spoken to Russ the Pliers re the ride.
Meet Cloughton tea rooms ready to ride 830am.
Now before you all start moaning about beauty sleep etc remember this is the day the clocks go backwards. Now that means backwards.
So when you go to bed at say 10pm, change your clock to 9pm then when you awake and it says 7am, it will be 7am winter time but you will have had a whole hour's extra sleep!
I think Russ is very brave to plan the ride for this day, i expect people to turn up at 730am, an hour early, 830am, on time, then 930am, an hour late. it always happens. !
For those driving to the meeting place, Russ says drive past the car park for the tea rooms and just behind is some land which you can park on.
Please post on here, or let me or Russ know if you plan to ride. About 7 so far.
Just ask if you are not sure if this ride is for you.
Also if you would like to lead a 'Sunday Ride' any level, let me know, thanks!

The route planned should hopefully be pretty fast flowing,Phil and myself did most of it on our 70 mlie training ride for Kielder,a few good hills a bit of single track etc.Its nice to keep about 9mph average speed as its good for morale to keep it moving.
Pack a bite to eat and a few energy bars and gells and a few spare bits in your camelback and all will be fine
planning to be out for about 5 hours and if the weather is grim got plenty of singletrack stuff to experiment on in Harwood dale forest
See you ready to ride at 0830 gmt(grenwich mean time).

Thanks go to “soreen” who must have sponsored our ride!! Its a pity we didnt take any photos, as Anton was thrilled to get his tool out in front of his wife and use it for the first time! And later on Rich announced to us all that “ive just shot my load”!! What a thing to say in front of Nadia!!!
24 hours later and im still rolling around the floor laughing!!
Needless to say we all enjoyed the ride

Seen as i cant grasp the garmin thing i will explain the route.
We headed up the old railway line to Ravenscar and then upto the mast, singletrack and mud to the Falcon and across the road to a technical down back onto the fireroad to the Harwood dale road, little bit of uphill road work and we are at the cross roads on silpho top, singletrack stuff, root run and the headland track down to Broxa, passed the back of Darncombe and then the nice steep climb upto Bickley gate passed the bench.23 miles to this point
Joined the awful bit of red route to givendale farm and then if we werent muddy enough the pig track was, even trailrakers would struggle with it.along the top to the pace downhill which although nervous faces at the top big smiles at the bottom even Phil had a smile on his face.Back up again to Broxa and towards reisty top car park then the bridleway down and worked our way to Ripleys road down into Burniston quarry and back to the tea rooms at Cloughton.
41 miles in 5 hours
Big thanks to all see you all for the next one

Thanks for sorting that Russ. My fitness is not good at the moment and i am also planning to do some road rides on Sundays but i will get out soon. Also training for a marathon at the mo, (why? you may ask!) so that will eat into my cycling time.
