On Tuesday 28th December at 10am the club will be running a mountain bike ride in Dalby. Duration approx 2 hours. It will be a social ride with one difference to our usual rides, CHRISTMAS THEMED FANCY DRESS essential. A prize for the best outfit will be awarded on the day and the winner will also receive a trophy at the club annual dinner. Details of where to meet will be posted asap. Interested?

Hmmm, desperately thinking of how I can make fish net tights (my only fancy dress item in cupbaord) Christmassy.
Oh no, I will probably end up in a santas elf outfit (aka umpalumpa)
But I will be there. Matt hates fancy dress things so it will be interesting to see what he goes as!
Looking forward to seeing Smiler go 'very very wrong!!'

I think dressing up as a burlesque dancer to go for a ride in the middle of winter is a bad idea, but the good thing is that it'll be dark so not many can be horrified by the sight.

I believe there is only one person that can pull dressing as a woman off. That'll be Julian then.
I do promise a good outfit though as long as we (family) can get out.
Or I could come as the Wykeham Forest Stinky corner bog monster. hehe

Well Audrey is happy to open for us fancy dress riders, drink and cake, so it will be meet Jingleby at ten am.

interested in comeing along, might have to be the old fashoned santa outfit though haha.
only problem is i dont know where dixons hollow carpark is and how im getting there yet, so will have to confirm if im comeing or not closer the time

Dixon's hollow is Dalby but unless a miricle happens we won't be riding there! New venue will be posted on site on Monday 27th evening, subject to weather! The plan is likely to be ride Broxa and starting from town area.

Well Dalby seems to be out, so maybe from Jackie's or mine and head up to Broxa. Will confirm on Monday

Hi, well we are an unfit lot! Lots of man flu, a case of swine flu, general snuffles, i won't mention what's wrong with me but i have to stay near the smallest room in the house! So the FANCY DRESS ride is officially POSTPONED. A new date will be announced. We will keep the fancy dress theme too. I am hoping about 4 weeks, ideally when we can get into Dalby. prob one Sunday. I am thinking the Sunday before the annual dinner so we can have an award for the best fancy dress!

Thats a great shame, but with so many of us falling to various bugs, and heavy snow forecast its probably the best idea. I love the idea of still doing festive fancy dress, but a month later, when the trails will be open and we can still end up at Jingleby afterwards.
Roll on spring!

Nick there was some discussion about having a ride in Jan…..but I dont think the xmas fancy dress theme will work so it will be next year now.
