Thanks Mark, looks like a lot a fun, do they use road bikes or is there cyclocross bikes?

Yes cyclo cross bikes are used - basically road bikes but frames are sometimes strenghtened and have larger clearance for bigger tyres and  cantilever brakes are used and some using disc brakes now.   You can use MTBs on some events as well.

Yes its great fun.
