Well, that's the World Cup done and dusted then. Great down-to-the-wire finish in the Elite Men's race between Julien Absalon and Nino Schurter, who outsprinted his in-the-lead rival to win by inches right on the line. 

The compact nature of the course meant that it was easy to see different bits of the race as it went on. Me and my boys started at Medusa's Drop (I've put a few pictures in the Gallery), then headed over to Worry Gill. I was reassured to see that even among the pros not that many riders could make that killer, steppy climb coming out of Worry Gill on the way back to Adderstone. Very few were phased by the Worry Gill dropoff itself, though a few did take the chicken run at Medusa's Drop. 

I missed the women's race because I was time trialling in the morning, but arrived in time to see RCC's under 14 riders do their Go Ride relay race. I missed one of the four riders though, and only got shots of three of them (again, see Gallery). 

Can't wait until we're racing around a similar course up at Dalby on 25th July.
