Well the summer is nearly over so that can mean only one thing, it's Debbie Challenge time again! The usual routine. Turn up ready to ride from 9am, do as many or as few laps as you want, eat cakes, moan about the mud and head off home for a well earned bath, beer and or glass of wine! Meet reisty bank car park.

I need to know who is coming,

If anyone happy to help out and man the chuck wagon and keep check on laps please let me know.

Helen seems happy to be on cake baking duties once more and help out with a bit of timekeeping from 10am ish. She is working first thing that morning so I can do a bit of timekeeping and then ride a few laps once she's arrived Smile

Not long now to the final Debbie's Challenge of 2011, so be there. Reisty bank, opp car park from 9am on Sunday. Ride the laid out route at your own pace, see how many laps you can manage in 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 hours. You choose! You can start anytime up to 12pm.

I have ridden the route tonight and it is almost mud free! Well compared to the last two times it is !!!

This is open to all age groups so if any of the Go-ride club want to ride a lap before the club as long as you have a parent or adult with you please come along. The course is not hard or to long, 5.6miles so is fun for all abilities.

Helen will be there so you can leave your snacks and drinks with her. Bring an extra cake or two to share out, and see you there!

Hi Debbie.

Im hoping to be there at 9. Is Reisty Bank at the Scarbro end of Dalby?

Is the route going to be signposted?

From Malton:

Turn left down Forge Valley at Ayton. On to Hackness. Turn right at T. Pass Hackness school, go under low stone bridge, up hill to Suffield. At top of hill, turn left. Continue on this road until you reach Reasty Bank carpark.

It's on the NE corner of Broxa Forest and looks out over Harwood Dale.

Marked on map as 'Reasty Hill Top' with a P for parking.

Route has direction arrows.

Sorry about missing you all. Did the red route instead in the “crosser”.

Oh so sorry!! Have family staying and it was all just one mad rush! Just didn't look at the computer. Such a shame as the route is perfect for a crosser!

We had 20 riders, not as many as the middle of winter with all the mud and rain which makes you wonder about all the Richardson cc riders! Best times and most laps were placed by Nic TEF, tho Nigel the skills gave him a run for his money and John from Doncaster trying out his new giant Antham was also snapping at his tyres! New youth rider, Alistair 'The Gels' who joined us on the Yorkshire day ride , was also one of the quicker and most consistent riders.  Coach Mark take note! We also had a good few youth riders, from 29er Dave's grand-daughter Lauren, Button's son,  Not As Tall Tom who beat his sister Lizzie by 3 minutes! Def need a rematch there! Also great to see lots of our regular club riders and in my view the star of the event, Sharon, Big Nick's better half, out on her first mountain bike ride, Go girl!!!!

Results out soon, but not til my nephew goes home!!Frown
