i will be leading a ride on august 1st from helmsley setting off at 9.30 am.  we will follow a similar route to last years ride which covered 72 miles in all.

this is a full day out so bring plenty of food and drink, although we will be stopping at blakey pub for lunch.

we should aim to be in scarborough for 4.30pm.Cool

Hi Dave, Too Tall Tom and myself will be there. Hopefully Jackie will be too. I am def slower than last year so maybe 5pm in Scarborough! Anyone else up for it? It was a bril ride last year, not technical, more of a blue tho i do remember one tricky downhill which i mainly walked down, will try and stay on the bike this year!

Now that would be good, she could keep us fed and watered! Maybe if we raise enough money we will be able to buy a club camper van!

I really dont think that i will be able to complete the ride at the moment. I haven'e got enough miles in recently……..too much time on holiday and looking after the lad i think.

Enjoy the day and I may see you all down the seafront for an ice cream

Have a great day tomorrow. I had hoped to come on this ride, but I'm not going to have time to ride it now, due to work Frown and going on holiday the day after Laugh. Might try and squeeze a short ride in tomorrow.

Did get out today though. Me, Pete, and my son Matthew did a pre-ride around Wykeham for the family ride next Saturday.

great day out, everyone rode well.

rich had to retire at levisham due to a mechanical, and i had to leave the group at hole of horcum and ride home. i had under estimated how long it would take.

next year we should try and do 100 milesSurprised

Thanks to the Pickering 3 and Debbie for leading an unforgettable days ride. I loved every minute of it, even finding out I had only done 22 miles to get to The Lion at Blakey. Its a stunning ride, with far reaching views (Doncaster!) showcasing what a fab county we live in. A great celebration of Yorkshire day.

Thanks!

Yes it was such a brilliant day. I will do a full write up for Debbie's Diary. Many thanks again to Dave for getting us all motivated. It will definately be an annual event, on or near to YORKSHIRE DAY 1st August, so a date for everyone to keep free next year! I nearly cleaned the big downhill, a major improvement on last year when i walked it. so next year a clean run!!!!
