Well finally i have been out for a club ride on an evening! Over a month!!!!!! Nightmare. One very nasty chest infection, finally gone. Thanks for all the kind offers 'to rub it betterWink'

Tonight we met at the Rosette. I took the social group which consisted of me. Ravenscar Chris, new Matt and new Dave.(Working on nicknames)

It was not a good start, my lights failed. Think my charger not working, so sorry Bob if my loan set failed on you too! Hope the anti-socials sorted you out.

Ravenscar Chris, told me not to be a wimp and get on with it! So i carried on. Sometimes i could see sometimes not. It added to the fun.

We went into Scalby, up past the cricket field, the track passable but getting a little challenging in places. I was rather sad to see they had filled in the big hole which was always fun to ride through! We couldn't really find the correct track over the field but we made it and avoided the cows. Then up past Brian Thompson's, up again to the road. It was quite a hard start really! We then cut into the last outside track, which was in really good condition. Then a quick blast on the road to pick up some of Broxa's singletrack. The moon was out a bit. The wind had dropped, wonderful riding conditions. I took a wrong turning, easy when you can't see anything but we all agreed it improved the end bit of singletrack and saved some road. I decided to add in a little fun off camber bit, but all the lads stayed on the main track and i suddenly realized i really really couldn't see! I rather think they enjoyed seeing me stranded!

We finished the ride with a quick blast on the road back to the pub. Great to be back out. See you Thursday!

How did you anti socials get on then Russ?

Ten anti-socials set off with our leader Steve hill monster Hopper leading us to Raincliffe for a bit of hill climbing training.

All was going well with two good climbs under our belts and a good blast along the top track to the Ayton end,the next hill split the group and a few mechanicals later meant that we totaly lost Phil who was been the good samaritan, took a wrong turn and lost us for good.

As time was getting on we headed back to the Rosette with 11 miles done, a bit of a shorter ride this week as the last couple of tuesdays have been getting in 20 mile plus in.

Winter is on the way Cool
