Tuesday 6th's evening ride saw two teams of Magnificent Sevens!

The anti-socials were led by Nigel the Skills, comprising of Formally langdale Richard,  Ali, Anton and Nadia, who have been given nick-names but not sure what they are! and Plumber Dave and Brother Paul.

Us socials were led by me, and out for the ride were Simon the Meercat, Elec-Rick, Shrek, Martin( who i call Nigel) Buttons and  Crusher-Dylan . ( Now if you don't know who i mean you have not been out enough lately!Laugh

We were all riding the same route, Too Tall Tom's urban route. My group set off first but the anti socials soon past us. The crusher gave chase and rather hopefully said ” we just follow them, Right? i explained it wasn't going to happen and we let them go. it was down to the sea front, as we passed the BMX park the anti-socials were approaching the castle, it was the last we saw of them for a while.

We were ahead, past the spa, there was so much sand i took the easier option and wound up past the clock tower, then headed up to the Mount. I saw the anti-socials just a little behind us, and a few minutes later Ali simply flew by. I think Capt mark needs to see just how fast Ali is getting!

We took the downhill to Eastfield, i was too slow my summer tyres slipping all over in the layer of greasy mud, and i was wary of slipping onto the barbed wire. It runs all the way down the track, tho i had managed not to notice it until Elec-Rick pointed it out! Doh!

We found our way out of Eastfield no problem but then i managed to find every dead end at crossgates! The rain started in ernest as we headed out on the road to Ayton. Good for the soul i explained but im not sure if they agreed with me.

A short climb, ok 3 miles, with a quick look at the Crusher's Xmas lights, then a wonderful bit of singletrack to Stepney. We all blasted downhill, tho i told The crusher to stay back with me. I still think we were close to the speed limit! Sorry Dave!

The anti-socials beat us back, but only by 15 mins! About 17 miles, hopefully Simon's app was working tonight. i will be able to see where i got us lost!!!
