Tom Stockill and myself are taking a ride out into the North York Moors on Sunday 13th Sept. We are doing the ride in the Paul Pickering Book 'Mountain Bike Trails' page 39 the route starts from Cropton and is 20 miles long the route is described as:
'The first couple of hours is pretty full on as the trail never really lets up. You will however encounter some amazing sectons of single-track, which should be enough to test your skills to the max. Top Ride!'
We are meeting in Cropton Village just past the pub on the main street. All welcome just let us know if you are coming along!
Ride starts at 9.30am

It was a good ride and good company. Sorry Jeff had to leave us so early due to him feeling off colour….you ok now Jeff?
I apologise for the hiking bit in the middle when I could not find the track across Owlet Moor! My bike was also making some loud complaining noises as we rode through that thick heather!
Will look for some more routes later and arrange another day out.
Was also considering a two day and a nights camp one weekend at The Lion Inn at Blakey…there are showers we can use there and the pub is very handy for a few beers and grub can be got from the pub!? Not sure who would fancy it though?
