Well last weeks ride did not go ahead so its back on this SAT!

I am willing to lead a MTB ride in 2 weeks time…thought its about time we got out of Dalby at the weekend.   This will be Sat 4th Dec from Lastingham heading North for a loop back to Lastingham total ride distance 16 miles.   Meet Lastingham High Street Sat 4th Dec at 9.00am for a 9.30am start for the ride.

Anyone fancy it?

This is a red graded ride:

Red: Challenging. Suitable for regular mountain bikers. Could be up to 30 miles or so long and will include steeper descents, rockier sections, step-downs, and steep climbs. Suitable for proper mountain bikes only.

Not sure of the weather up there Mark, lots of snow around pickering and the lowlands. If the roads are accessible then I will try and get there but will let you know if unable to.

Mark, we currently have a good 12″ of snow that has fallen overall. The drifts are pretty big.

The roads up to Cropton/ Lastingham have been cleared but are still icy - the forecast is for more freezing conditions, currently we are at -11c here. Im not sure what the route for the ride will be like, if the trails are rideable.

What do you think?

Ive got a head cold at the mo but if you want to give it a try then Im game. Let me know or give me a txt.

Agree, though luckily you can imagine your cycling somewhere nice and warm in your garage !!
