I've got some kids' mountain bikes on test at the moment. I'm taking them up to Dalby on Sunday (20th) and possibly also Sunday 27th. If you've got a child or children aged roughly between 8 and 13 and they want a blast about on them, let me know. I've got five bikes, with a sixth coming. They are:

1. Scott Scale 24 Jr (still waiting for this one!)

2. GT Outpost Disc 24

3. Islabikes Beinn 26 small 

4. Trek 4300 Disc (13in frame)

5. Specialized P1 AM (12in frame)

6. Saracen Mantra (14in frame)

Google 'em if you want to check 'em out. Bikes 1 to 3 will suit riders aged roughly 8-10. Depends on height, obviously. Bikes 4-6 are very small framed 'adult' bikes and should suit kids aged 11-13 approx.

One or two of my boys will be riding bikes 4 to 6, despite them being at the upper limits of rider size. So I'm particularly looking for smaller riders. But riders for the bigger bikes are welcome too. Probably meet up at Dixon's Hollow. Kids will need to be accompanied.

This isn't a photoshoot, so no one will be standing around in the cold. It's just a chance to ride around on some 2010 bikes. If you subsequently want to buy one of the test bikes (e.g. for Christmas), it's usually possible to do so for about 2/3 normal price. I can't guarantee that a given bike will be available to buy - it's very common, but doesn't always happen. Also, the bikes wouldn't be available until after they've been photographed (down in/near Bath).

If Lewis is getting a Specialized, don't RCC members get 10% off at Richardsons?

Lewis is quite tall for his age and would be a bit big for the bikes I've got. Benji would probably fit okay. 

I'll be at Dalby this Sunday (27th) if anyone wants a play on these bikes anyway. Just let me know.
