Well a decent size group out tonight, 17 riders at the Anvil. The Pickering 3 were in race mode and opted to meet in Dalby to practice for Sunday's race. We will be up to cheer you on lads! So that left 17 of us in Sawdon. The Hackness Duo led off the fast group but as Dan wasn't with them i guess we won't get a report! Cry They headed up towards the pig track but went into Dalby via the Troutsdale  road. From there they climbed our newish(about 2 years) climb into the outskirts of Dalby and worked in the forest proper via some old routes and onto the wall of death which has now been re-named the wall of feeling slightly off colour Too Tall on his new 29er was up with the Hackness duo. Lewis did a striptease, well almost, and a good ride was had by all!Wink

I took the social off for an explore in Wykham forest. We just headed off up or down any track as we found them. Brendon became my 2nd in command, we were totally in unison at all times. Me,'know this bit? Brendon, 'yep'. Me ' totally lost? Brendon, 'yep' perfect! We has a guest from York, Corinne Dennis. Corinne makes the C.D. range of cycle clothes, which is why Lorraine, Houghing Jax and i were busy showing off our C.D labels! The route didn't pose any major challenges but was fun, with miles of fast flowing singletrack. Lorraine made me laugh at one point as she offered to ride at the back of the group, but when we reached the end we had lost everyone else! I  had ridden off before she heard my reply! I thought id found a new trail at one point but no, just rode into it from another direction! we only had Daddy Baked bean out, no doubt small baked bean was busy slaughtering all and sundry with his Lazer gun! Lizzy was having a competition of who could wear the most, Corinne won! I wonder did you get your coat back from Lorriane lizzy?! And finally Adam continues to surprise, bunny hopping over every log, snapping at Brendon's heels. Then it was the usual race back to the pub, gosh Lorraine can sprint, she clearly has been secretly training! Go girl! Classic finish, chips at the Anvil!

It was a really nice ride. Pleasent weather and a mixed group so the pace was nice and varied, which was good I was tired.

What a difference to be out during the week and have the lights on the bike as an expensive ornamentLaugh. Lovely to meet Corrine and all I can say about the clothes is that it looked like a C.D. catalogue shoot. Hehe. Great to Adam as a riding partner, he was doing so well, even pointing out where we had been only 10 minutes earlier (it's fair to say that Debs and I were a little lost from time to time). Next time we need “The Mayor of Sawdon” with us or we could end up on Scarborough seafront eating fish and chips as was discussed as a default destination.

Noted Matt.

Anyway, last year I saw the state that Jackie was in on the old wives waySurprised she looked tired, but was still going. Even the rest of them looked a little fed up with been on the bikes.

Yeah 70miles that turned out to be a lot more. Maybe that was the start of Debs forgetting where abouts she was and which trail to takeLaugh
