Well ok there wasn't actually a club ride! Our intentions were good. the forcast was so bad i didn't text anyone, just waited for the usual suspects to text me! By 3 pm it did not seem too bad though. I seriously thought i might go out after all. Sandwich Chris, Anvil Nick, young un Nick, Langdale Richard, and Nigel were all keen to ride. Meet Ayton was the plan. At 302pm the snow arrived. The temperature plummeted, i cancelled. The boys were still up for it. Then disaster, Nigel, driving back from Driffield got stuck at Staxton. The ride was off for him. The weather got worse. Anvil Nick wisely cancelled the ride. I did an hour on the turbo, i believe the rest stayed home apart from Young un Nick who bravely headed out to try his new lights, (Lewis' old ones!) I am awaiting a text to see if he made it home! Anyone else make it out?

made it out, lights were suprisingly good concidering i was using a 12v 20watt bulb instead of a 6v 10 watt bulb. did the urban route from tuesday plus a ride to eastfield. its a bit sippery out there, fresh show has a good ammount of grip but the roads where cars have flattened the snow are just evil, i fell off near lunar park just after the DH route but was ok, just a bit of a slide and a skid to the floor haha. its got to be about -4.C out there now, just as i was getting home my fingers were starting to get numb (had a pair of woolen gloves and my downhill gloves on) but overall a pretty chalangeing but fun ride :)

Piece out!

Oh dear i feel ashamed to call myself Chair of Richardsons Cycles. I know fresh snow gives grip, but i was weak. Yes it was horrid but clearly ok to ride. Well done Nick, im off to hang my head in shame!Wink
