Well it was cold, very cold. Minus 2 in Mr.Bear's van. So only a very hardy few came out. Little Hopper has wimped out to the warmth of Borneo and father ted has gone on a big silver bird to find some sun, so who was out in dalby?

the anti-socials were Big Ali, Desperate Dan, and Formally langdale Richard. Purple Lee and the mayor of sawdon were on the edge of that group, Mr. Bear, myself, dad kev, Elec-Ric, Ravenscar Chris, nearly over his cold, Tom and out for his first trip in a while Andy.

As we were not a massive group i decided to see if i could bring off an old double ride. We would all ride together but i would put in a few extra loops for the anti-socials. Ali decided to make it harder for himself by being unable to change gear so was stuck in hardest. Mr.Bear and i took pity on him and freed them off. We did the singletrack behind Bickley car park, then picked up the red. The anti-socials took the Black onto the wall of Death, Lee and Nick joining them. We then went onto the old red with a rather icy section of north shore, no spills thank goodness.

Then another split, junior jingleby or fire break. We joined up again perfectly then yet more fire break or the finish and start of the world cup course. The anti-socials were smiling after that! We rode downhill on the road to the lake, sorry anti-socials missed a brill downhill to the scout field, then a climb onto a place where no cyclists goes! We were nearly at Cross cliffe so the anti-socials took off to finish the red to the cars taking elec-ric with them and us socials followed on behind. We had two nasty falls during the ride, the Bear and The Mayor fell off at the same spot. Mr. Bear didn't hit the dirt as he fell on me to save his fall. The Mayor hit the dirt tho. The technical bit that felled them? A fire break!!!
