First of all, sorry! My text with details of where to meet was a bit blunt! Will remember my please and thankyou's next time!
Nigel and i did the full route, by setting off from Wrench Green, the gale force winds in our faces just to keep it interesting! We arrived bang on time, tho we waiting about 6 mins as one or two were no shows. Apologies if you arrived late and missed us. Nigel led off his creche, tho they are also earning a few new nicknames from Tedman which are not printable! Dan will hopefully post about their ride. I had 12 riders and tho all of them were welcome i would have traded one of them for Russ the pliers from Nigel as we went off piste a lot and found a fair few downed trees! I led the way with Oliver and Michael Boag snapping at my heels. Within seconds we headed into the wood, Michael asked would there be any mud and not one to disappoint i found some very sticky sections just for him. He didn't appear grateful! We then picked up the old red in reverse, which was bone dry, fast and fun. Andy Jelly baby who has missed a lot was out again and tho he didn't offer me any jelly babies he did help move trees! Great to see him out. After the red we did downhill narnia which was new to many, but a joy to all i think! Ravenscar Chris helpfully suggested a route which avoided the challenging up hill, not many realized what was to come tho and cheerfully followed the Boag two to the rather steep climb. This turned out to be fun with everyone trying to get the furthest, Tedman won by a whisker from Andy jelly baby and Mathew, Houghing Jax the easy winner for the girls tho Siobahn wasn't far behind! Another returnee now the lighter nights are here was Capt Blood ably helping Matt the camera ensure we started and finished with 12! Lizzy is slowly getting used to her new bike, i do hope she is liking it! Four of us Antham girls out tonight! Then it was a quick blast back to the cars, i hope people realized i found the way with the fewest hills! I then headed back to my car, i don't mind riding on my own but i must admit it was a like nicer when Nigel caught me up! Nigel and i arrived at the pub the same time as Andy jelly baby, so not bad going!
