Well we had nine out tonight,  Myself, The Tedman, Nigel, Hackness Mike, Russ, Richard, Lewis, and keeping the average age down Giles and new rider Nick.  We decided to go urban as pretty much anywhere off road would be a slog and a push and we would be lucky not to fall off on the ice, we also all rather fancied keeping  the bikes clean! Ha, well they do say' best made plans'. We set off from the Rosette and headed through Newby Farm to pick up the track that leads to the road to the sea life centre, a bit of snow and ice but no probs. It was lovely to ride around the marine drive, we then headed up to the castle. Nigel and the brave ones (you work it out ) headed up to the top to pick up the downhill route and the rest of us headed down the steps to the beach, i bottled the steps but everyone else cleaned them. Just seem to have a mental block! We rode past the spa, all enjoying the change of scenery then up the climb where the Holbeck Hotel was. I even passed a young un! Then it was up to the mount, we all admired the posh houses, a bit like Beverley Hills was one comment, certainly a change from trees. we decided not to ride my down hill to Eastfield but try and find a different way down. well we did, but it was so muddy it was more of a slide than a ride., but a descent that we will no doubt talk about tho not for the right reasons! Nigel Lewis Russ and the young uns headed for more steps down to the spa, the rest of us took a safer route, then it was a quick blast to the skate jump park for a play, honest! Well Nick showed us how to get round with style on a mountain bike and  Russ showed us how to get round, then it was a quick blast back to the pub!
