It was a bakers dozen who set out into the cold. A quick ride up Wrench Green to warm up, which did the trick but nerves played a part in heating us up as we realized the road was covered in ice!. At the top we decided to stay in the trees to avoid the ice, apart from the first outside track this was a very sensible option! The usual Tuesday gang, Nigel, Hackness Mike, Dave and his brother, Philip, Tedman, Russ, Andy jelly baby and myself were joined by Jane, back out now the weather has changed for the worse and at the front having an easy blast was young Mike and Ruth, great to see them both. We rode Hackness Mike's famous route and it was as good as ever. Hackness Mike chose to wind us up and go the wrong way! Oh how we laughed! To avoid the ice  we decided to finish with the Wrench Green off road downhill which meant we had to find it, which we did but only after riding a rather overgrown track, great fun until young Mike ripped his mech off! He ran quicker than most of us could ride. A great ride and the cold didn't spoil it at all. One apology. Sorry Richard. He turned up as we were leaving and i didn't spot him, and tho i did a count it added up to more than i knew were coming so thought ok. It is so dark and it is impossible to see faces when we all have lights on! SORRY!
