The group met tonight at the Forge Pub in Ayton. The anti social group, Nigel the Skills, Russ the Pliers, Little Hopper, Hackness Mike and the only one without a nick name, keith, (ideas anyone) were just about to leave when Lewis did a hand brake turn into the car park. they waited and off they went, riding at first with the newly named 'chatty social' group. We were me, Debs 'lost leader', Lorraine 2 falls, Twiggy (lucy) Jane, lead chatty rider, and keeping us girls in check, Martin. Martin let some air out of his rear tyre so we could stop to blow it up and let the fast guys go. We headed out on dogs and geese, then picked up some of Hackness Mike's route. I spotted some fresh tyre tracks and confidently said that we were on the same tracks as the guys, we weren't, they were in another forest! We left Mike's route when i said it would be too muddy and pointed to the way i wanted to go. It was deep puddles and mud and the rest of the group stopped chatting for a moment to ask why that way was better. Take it from me, i just know it is better! We then picked up some of the mayor of sawdon's hidden trails, i even found time to explore one we never head down and quickly found out why, it was a dead end! We all got a drenching from the bushes and trees, all of us were nearly felled by a triffid but made our escape. Lucy managed to leave with some woody undergrowth in her helmet hence her nickname. martin managed to remain cheerful despite the company, and been made to ride one trail 3 times, tho not in the same direction. As they has all behaved very well and not bickered at all i treated them to a downhill finish, which was several miles long! I hope they enjoyed it, remember i am not always that nice!
