Well only a few out tonight, maybe they had a hint as to what a tough ride it would be! We were, Myself, Too Tall Tom, Plumber Dave, Brother Paul, and Russ. Tom and I are starting our mayhem training, Russ is looking longer term at the Keilder 100, and Dave and Paul were up for it. Up being the WORD! We started by climbing up the downhill opposite the Everley, it was really dry and not too hard a start. We then headed down hill towards hackness and up the downhill along there! Again apart from the rather wet grassy start a really good track to climb. I gave them a choice at the top, stay up do some single track and a down hill to finish, or pick up the down hill in Silpho and ride up Whisperdale and then the downhill to High Dales. Whisperdales won the vote or maybe i didn't listen! I have to say the tracks were all in amazing condition, not too much mud and the horses have not been out much yet to dig them up!We rode 14 miles in just over 2 hours 10 mins and i think everyone enjoyed it. The only unhappy face all night was the chap driving up High Dales, the road being so narrow we all lugged our bikes up the banks so he could get by. He completely ignored us, not even the slightest acknowledgment . Still we were having a ball and i guess he wasn't!
