Well  i was called the new girl as i have missed so many rides but it was great to get back out. As i would be kicked off the back of the fast group i hung on in with the social group. I choose to lead which meant they had to wait for me. We were a mixed bunch. The mayor of sawdon and Rich from Thornton, will have to check if the nick name i have for him is allowed on this site, turned up on a cyclo cross bike and a rigid 29er respectively. I was out on my 29er too. Richard, formally langdale decided he was not up to a full on Hopper ride and slunk along with us. Matt 2 was out and young future plumber Dillon.! We headed off up Whisperdales much to the mayor's pleasure! The tracks were dryer than i had expected. We decided to stay high as Rich's calf was protesting. We picked up some of my Challenge route which was dryer than summer, typical. Then an old father ted  downhill which we all enjoyed followed by a quick blast back to the cars, choir night so a rather busy car park.

Little Hopper took his group on an evil ride. Details from Russ the Pliers prehaps?

Well Steve had been on his usual tuesday diet of red bull and sweets and blasted off upto high dales with Alistair and Hackness Mike on his tail, brothers Dave and Paul not far behind and Nigel and Myself after a hard days work puffing away bringing up the rear Yell

The bottom section was to muddy to ride but nigel had a go at it,so a little bit of footwork and then up we went, mud, slippy stones and hidden roots adding to the fun of the climb Cry

onto the broxa challenge route and then upto the top of the blu man for a little down hill work, very tricky at the moment but Nigel made it look easy hanging of with one leg,Hacness Mike came a cropper and Brother Paul gave himself an injury on his leg

Back along the river run to Langdale which wasnt as muddy as anticipated,Steve dissapeared and apparrently went over the bars.i had Alistair on my tail and the rest following behind.

Brother Paul had to retire at Langdale due to injury so Brother Paul took him back to the van, missing out on the lovely climb which was coming up next.up across the field and upto Broxa Cry

Possibly the muddiest part of Yorkshire welcomed us to the final descent, but atleast the nettles had died back enough to get through this time and a nice enjoyable down was had.

The choir ladies of Hackness were taking no prisoners tonight and parked blocking most of us in.oops Kiss

12 miles and if i knew how to do a hyperlink then i would put the Garmin plot up.Laugh
