Tom - we should look at the MTB race next year and pick a period when the calendar looks quiet and no dalby races.  We cannot let all your work go to waste. 

The MTBers need to have more input on this site and within the club.  I would also like to hear their views and maybe we can have this discussion at the next meeting. 

We also have to remember that a lot of MTBers dont necessarily want to race and we also have to accept that clubs is not just about racers.

We have come along way and we are doing some fantastic work to promote cycling the review from pupils and staff at Filey school were excellent and even the receptionist had heard of our club and its beginneers rides.  I have had comments from people in Ryedale saying that they have heard good things about our club and we are a friendly club.  We have good standing with local partners including County Council, Sports Partnership and CTC.

We have a vibrant coaching team who are pulling together and supporting each other to improve cycling in the area.   

So the bottom line is there is some good work being done by the road and MTB section and yes the MTB race had to be cancelled but that does not mean it was the wrong thing to put on I am convinced we can get back on the calendar we just need to review what went wrong and learn from it.
