Well decided to go for the first cyclo cross race of the season and only my second CX race (excluding the three peaks but thats another story).  I saw Matthew from Malton Wheelers there…we were both in the vets and womens race with 75 riders.  The course was about 10 minutes long and out race lasted for about 45 mins.  Like all CX races its fast from the off and I was 3/4 way down on the start line not good!

It was an uphill start and then into quite a technical course for cyclocross but entertaining throuhout and had you thinking most of the time…you can ride these events on MTBs which would be great for a lot of our club members.  Matthew rode well especially dropping a chain and then catching me up and overtaking me…thats all the racing he has done this year. 

Good race though and well worth the drive to Brighouse.   These events are great for all types of riders and are a good family event with races for all ages in a small area.
