On Sunday 21st Feb I will be running a race training day for road racers.  All abilities and riders over 13 years of age welcome.  The day will run from 9.00am to midday and will look at racing tactics and techniques.   I hope to get enough riders together to make this a great training day before the season starts.

The cost will be £5.00 per rider for non club members, £3.00 per rider for club members.

This will be used to hire the village hall in Wold Newton and we will be using a small circuit nearby for the training.

Anyone interested let me know?

Im pretty sure some of us Malton Wheelers are going to join you if that is okay.

We are going to ride out to you, then afterwards, go for some more riding if anyone wants to join us.

With only 4 riders confirmed this might have to be cancelled.

So if you are coming along and not put your name down then please let me know before 16th Feb.

Thanks

Okay guys the format for the morning will be:

1. 8.30am to 9.00am Meet at Wold Newton Community Hall on Front street up from the church on the right hand side. Street parking available.

2. Pre ride briefing and team allocation

3. Warm up and check of the circuit.

4. Race scenarios - attacks forming and chasing down breaks - all riders will receive instructions on what to do during each race.  The scenarios will be videoed for showing later at the hall.

5.  Back to the hall for break and de brief

6. Second set of scenarios such as setting up sprints  again all videoed

7. Finally back to the hall for debrief

I will be using myself to ride with the group to maintain a set pace so that the field is not ripped apart.

Free tea and coffee plus cake available at the hall for all riders .

Sorry once again the forecast is for snow and the roads will be too dangerous for group riding which has meant I will have to cancel this Road Racing Skills day.

Once again sorry.  If you want to do this day again post some days when you wish to see this held.

Sorry Matthew looks like another cancel for this event.  I need 10 riders and I am no where near this so I am afraid I have had to cancel the hall and planning for this event.   Sorry to those few who were interested but these events need several riders to get the best out of these sessions.

I totally understand. I will pass on the message.

How about a “Gentlemans race” instead? Although must check the diary for TT's or other RR's.
