Yes Hazel and I did the coast to coast sustrans route Whitehaven to Sunderland back in 2005.  Great ride a route for all abilities.  Easy days and it took us 4 days with 3 overnight stops.

I have also rode the coast to coast on a road bike in a day……nearly made it but it was sponsored so in the dales someone had a wheel fail and I gave up my wheel to get one riders across as he had the most sponsorship money!

Would I do them again yes!  Be good training for the Race Across America…you get some training rides in Tom!

My friend has done the end to end and I have the book and it is in my list to do one day!

A few of our guys are riding from Scarb to Morcambe and back to Scarb in 24 hrs next year.

Interested?

Damn good Engineering Draughtsman, air cooled VW lover and Karmann Ghia owner.

The Scarborough to Morecombe ride is going to be on 1st May. It's 256 miles there and back or you can go one way (128 miles) I think it's for help the heros.
