I've done nowt. Confused I'll have to ride extra hard tomorrow.

Although I did fix up my time trial bike, and I took the gears off my mountain bike so that it will hurt more when I do next ride it. That'll learn me.

Went out on the winter training bike this morning. Nice to have blue skies for once but there were some nasty icy patches coming home past Raincliffe Woods. I felt the back wheel go a few times and nearly lost it on one uphill cambered corner. You know things aren't going well when you're still going forwards but your bike is pointing 45 degrees left. Might have been lucky I was on fixed wheel. You can't snatch your brakes or tense up on fixed, so have to try to pedal through it.

The trailer towing 4×4 50 yards behind me wasn't so lucky. I heard a skid and a bang. Looked round and it had jack-knifed in the road and crashed into the hedge. No one hurt, thankfully, though they burst a tyre. I'm just glad they weren't overtaking me at the time!

First big test for us Mountain mayhem riders. 6 hours, as many laps of my 10 mile loop in Dalby. The singletrack in great condition wish i could say the same for the firebrakes, nightmare! Still managed 5 laps, many thanks to Matt for feeding me and taking notes and to Loraine and Tim for popping up too!
