The sunday ride will be at 9.30am from the bus shelter in crossgates.  There is a link on the training rides page for the location on google maps - Andy Browne co ordinates all road rides.  if you need his mobile number e mail me (via PM at the top of this post) and I will send you his mobile number.  He texts all those interested each week to confirm the run times.

Thanks Mark G

I bumped into Andy at Debbie's this afternoon. He can't lead the Sunday ride tomorrow. I presume it's still on, setting off from the bus shelter at Crossgates at 9.30. I'll probably be out.

I must have missed you by seconds. Yell Arrived at the bus shelter at Crossgates at 9:31. Waited for five minutes. Shrugged. Set off. Still, it was a nice morning for a ride anyway. I went for a coffee at Low Dalby, via Ayton, Hackness and Langdale End.

I got to play the Good Samaritan en route when I met a mountain biker walking along the forest drive. He'd ripped the derailleur off his bike, and it was hanging by the chain and the cable. I had a chain tool, so shortened the chain to singlespeed length and removed the derailleur.

I won't be out next Wed as I'll be in Glentress.

Cheers, Mike. The lad was pretty chuffed. He was resigned to walking 7 miles to the bike shop at Low Dalby.

I've had the micky taken more than once for riding with a saddlebag instead of a seatpack, but folks quickly change their tune when you pull out the right bike tool, or a spare jacket because they're 'a bit cold', or some wet wipes to clean their hands after they've had a puncture, or a flask of coffee… Wink

It was a great morning for a bike ride. Proper summer hot. Trees in leaf, birds singing. Can't beat it.

All right, Carl. How's the road racing going? You still planning on doing a mountain bike race at the end of the month? I'm doing the Singlespeed UK Championship at Dalby on 7th June.

Hi Just a note from Andy Browne that the club ride tomorrow Sun 19th July will  not be running due to most road riders going on the club trip to Manchester Velodrome.
