Been out riding today from Scarborough up to Dalby into Pickering and did the loop went into Rosedale and up Chimney Bank for the first and then back to Dalby, lots of mountain bikers around not many road bikes, then back to Scarborough all together 71 miles. It was hard going but very nice weather today in the shorts.
I hope the club run went ok.
Go-ride in the paper today

One of your routes and mine as well is a bit tricky now so EVERYONE WATCH OUT:-
The hill from Suffield down to Hackness has been 'Stone Chipped' and it's mega bad, in some places it seems OK but then you hit a patch of stones thats about 4in deep!!!!! Not the normal 47-51mph descent I managed about 12mph
Should be OK in a few weeks but not at the moment. Just thought I give you a heads up.
24m Mountain TT on Tuesday, a good one for all you 'roadies' TT bikes don't do climbing that easy , Cloughton bank and Reasty Bank all in one great ride weather looks good as well.

Thanks for the warning, Tommo. Sounds like it'd be better on the mountain bike.

Well got out on Sunday, set the alarm for 4.30am so could meet brother for a training ride, we rode to Thixendale and wetwang area, coming down one of the hills at about 30-35mph the bike banged and wobbled. A rabbit had ran out missed both wheels and had ran under the chainset hitting the teeth on the way past. Rabbit hair was scattered on the frame, wheels and on the teeth of the chainset.
I was lucky it had not hit the wheel otherwise I would of crashed, and I never had a helmet on.
The rabbit was dead at the side of the road.

My mate had this happen on MTB - Rabbit got chewd up in his rear mech/cassette. He had to 'pick' all the bits out bit by bit.
I had a good race with a hare once on the mtn 17m TT going down the straight road from Troutsdale-Snainton, 35mph wasn't fast enough, he just played with me then ran off at about 40-45mph before jumping sideways into the hedge-kicking in mid air for good measure.
