Ten of us out tonight on the recently restarted Wednesday night road ride. Nice and sunny but pretty cold, and with a stiff breeze, so instead of heading up into it (e.g. up to the Falcon), we rode out to Sawdon, back down to Wykeham then home, where it was more sheltered.

I'm afraid I don't yet know everyone's name - I haven't done that many Wed night rides lately and (good sign) we keep getting new riders out.   I know we had both the Help the Heroes tandemists this time, and one was Dave. Audax rider Richard was out too, as were Pete and Anne Blood, Andy Browne, Paul Schofield, me, Fran (?) and, um, Ayton rider. (Sorry!)

How bad is the road past Raincliffe Woods at the moment? No pinch punctures, luckily. It was nice and quiet on the lanes around Sawdon, and coming back from Wykeham the gentle slope down to Ayton meant we could get up a good pace there.
