It’s the sixth of our 10-mile time trials on Thursday 16th June. Meet before 6.45pm at the industrial estate on the A169, just north of the Flamingoland turn-off. First rider off at 7.00pm. You don’t need to enter in advance: just turn up. It’s £2 per rider to take part, and if you’re under 18 (minimum age is 12) you must bring a signed parental consent form (see below) and wear a helmet.

You don’t need to have ridden any previous events, although if you have you’ll have a target to aim for. You can take part on any roadworthy bike except a recumbent or one with electrical assistance. So yes, you can have a blast round on your mountain bike. It’d be easier with slicks, of course, but it’s up to you.

The route is a straight ‘out and back’. You can’t go wrong. But there’s more information on the PDF below if you want it.

You must observe normal traffic laws, although there will large ‘cycle event’ signs to tell motorists that we’re there (e.g. near the start and at the roundabout entry roads).

Look forward to seeing you there. If you’ve got any questions, post them on the forum or ask me (Dan).

Don’t forget that if you want to qualify for the trophies for this series, you must do at least one ride at each venue - Snainton, Pickering, and Burton Fleming (where we’ll be in a couple of weeks).

Do you think that this would be okay for the planet x: http://www.ribblecycles.co.uk/…..HIMCASS913

Nick, that would be fine. 11-23 Ultegra 10-speed goes 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 19, 21, 23. So there's only a 1-tooth step between the gears you will be using most of the time for TTing.
