This Sunday 18th Oct its the Malton Wheelers Hill Climb starting at 10.30am.
Does anyone fancy going across to Malton on our Sunday run and doing the short event and then a steady cycle back?
If we meet at 9.00am at Cross gates we will be able to get to the event in time.

Andy Browne - Road Ride leader!! Has contacted everyone and there has not been any takers for going to the hill climb so the Sunday run will be the usual format and meet at 9.30am at Crossgates.

Hi
Does anyone know what the route is?
I was thinking of coming along for my first club ride but I'm a bit worried about keeping up/lasting even on the easy ride as I'm disgustingly unfit right now! I might start out and cut a shorter route part way through if I thinks it's too much.

Dan F Sunday run is steady we wont leave you - but it is difficult to say how you will fair without knowing your fitness.
However come along and like you say you can always peel off early and head back.

Good ride today for the Sunday run - 8 riders turned up. A chilly start across the vale of pickering then up into Dalby for coffee. Once out of Dalby the weather had warmed. 50 miles in total…..also nice to see Keiths new cervelo!

Yes 50 miles was fine for the group who came along - but its not the distance but the pace that makes the cycle hard…honest!

Dan F - I bumped into the club run at Low Dalby courtyard and it looked pretty relaxed. No one was hanging on by their fingernails. So I'd echo what Mark said about pace. That said, plenty of the Sunday runs are shorter.
I was in Dalby with two of my boys to go mountain biking. (Shoulder held up easily - nerve only just. I thought I'd only lost a multitool on the trails today, but maybe I left my bottle up there too. We'll see. )
