Shame about the weather but that's what you get at this time of year, you have to hope for better than average weather.
Next week could be dry and sunny but frosty/icy.
I got all my stuff ready for the TT last night but at 10:15am (time to set off) it was still chucking it down at my house and there were standing puddles everywhere as well.
That course is quite bad for pot-holes and tarmac patches that are a bit slap-dash to say the least, so with puddles everywhere covering them up it was the right decision however disappointing that was. If you've ever raced at speed over puddles not knowing whats at the bottom you'll know why.

Brompton 10m TT next week then 10:45 for 11am start (fingers x'ed)

Course details if anyone doesn't know it. Wink

The thing is you can't see how deep they are, they may be there 'cos they're 6in deep. Surprised

Therefore you have to dodge everyone which means going 'out' into the road sometimes.

'Read' what it says about the course above, if it was super smooth and brand new tarmac they may have run it but it isn't. Cry

Go through one that is deep and you're straight over the bars at 20+ mph.

The marshalls/timekeeper did the right thing, no matter how disappointing that was.

It won't be the last time, so get used to it. I had 4 x 25m TT's called off last year on the trot cos of the rain.  Yell
