Don't forget that it's the last of Richardsons CC's 10-mile time trials tonight. It's at Burton Fleming. Sign on by 6.30pm at Burton Fleming Village Hall. It's £2 to ride and you don't need any previous racing experience, just a roadworthy bike (even a mountain bike). Tea and cakes afterwards.

The Met Office says that this rain is due to clear about 6pm, so we may get relatively good conditions - apart from damp roads. Here's hoping.

Well after my mountain bike time trial debut last time, I thought never ever again. However, after helping on Thursday I found myself thinking whether I could beat 40 mins. Yes the competitive spirit of time trialing bit and I may be back next year, still armed with Giant Anthem complete with nobby tyres mud spatters.

Thanks to Barbara, Debbie's mum, the hostess with the mostest, for a lovely warm coffee after standing at the finish. She did a great job.
