Just me out today from Richardsons CC or TEF on the Swift Charity 10-mile time trial on the V718 course near Hull. It was nice and sunny but very, very windy. I'm glad I had only 50mm section wheels on my bike otherwise it would have probably blown away when I took it out of the car. It was a westerly wind too - the worst kind for this course.

I averaged 29.3mph to the turn (wind assisted, spinning like crazy), then grovelled all the way back to finish in 24:18 - a minute or so slower than usual for that course. That put me 52nd out of 105 starters, narrowly ahead of Paragon's Mike Scott (24:25). He'll probably get his revenge on Saturday on the Burton Fleming course, however. Andy Browne's riding that too, as are Matthew and Paulo. Hope the wind's dropped off a bit by then!
