Only a select few out tonight. Was it the cold that put people off, the rain?, the fog?, still hung over from Valentines celebrations? Ah well we had a great ride. Hackness Mike, Langdale Richard, Brother Paul, Plumber Dave, Russ, (need a nick name, any suggestions?) and myself set off from the Moorcock. Russ had left his new Lapierre all tucked up in the warmth at home, prehaps a mistake as his Iron Horse, clearly having a sulk shed it's rear mech half way up the Bickley climb. We were all happy to stop and help but to no avail, the bike was having none of it and so Russ limped off home! We headed off to Thompson's Rigg via Crosscliffe. I made them all descend faster then realized i couldn't see much, that was why they were going steady!!!! We all managed to stay on our bikes and made our way around the back of Fylingdales and down 7 mile hike back to the Moorcock. They have been clear felling in Langdale which has made the track interesting to say the least, not been able to see much because of the fog and the spray just added to the fun. 15 miles only one big hill but plenty of hard work to work off the Valentines meal, wine, champers, cocktails, etc etc! Wink

Sounds like you had a really good Ride Debbie. :) Shame about Russ's Bike though, he should have brought his Lapierre instead of keeping it warm and dry…like Nick Craig told me, “it ain't your bike until you get scratches and dirt to make it your own.” ;)

Me, Mike and Matthew should be back out riding soon hopefully :D

PS Debbie: The Lights we bought are ace, thanks again :)
