Youth MTB Series

This series is a Go Ride Racing Event for Youths aged 14 or under.

What is Go Ride Racing?

This is entry level racing and British Cycling Race Liecences are NOT required.  Entry is open for Youth novice riders.  These races are designed for persons who have no racing experience and these are ideal for someone first race.  The event is run under British Cycling insurance and rules.  You dont have to be a club member to race.

How old to you have to be?

The age categories are U14, U12, U10 and U8.

What is the Youth MTB Series?

The series consists of 4 races:

18th March at Filey Country Park

29th April at Mc Cains Sports Field

20th May at St Augustine School

1st July at Olivers Mount

All races commence at 10.15am.  Riders will get x3 races per event for their age category.  One straight sprint over 100 -200m.  Also a normal mass start race event  with one heat and a final.

How do I enter?

You can fill in  a series entry form which is available from Richardsons Cycle Shop or downloadable off this website. You can turn up on the day and enter.

Do I have to enter the whole series?

Riders will be allocated points per race the higher the postion the more points and the rider with the most points over the 4 races will win the series.  There will be medals and trophies for the highest placed riders in the series.
