Thanks to Dave Schubert, Chris Brown and I think Lorraine for running the TT at Snainton last Thursday when I was away. I’ll put the results up, including handicap results, when I’ve picked up the timekeeper’s sheet (and the rest of the TT kit) from Dave. It’ll be some time this week.
On Thursday (7pm start, 6:45pm sign on), we’re back at Burton Fleming for another 10-miler. Park and sign on at Burton Fleming village hall (NB. we don’t have access to the hall itself), start as usual at the bottom of Bartindale.
Early Sunday morning (8am start, 7:45am sign on), it’s our 25-mile time trial, staring at Seamer. But we meet at the lay-by in Irton – see PDF/map for info. We’re starting early so that we’ll be finished not long after 9am, so we’ll be through Ayton before it gets busy. Riding a 25 is much like doing a 10, except comfort is more important. You might want to apply some Sudocrem before the start (yes, that is where you apply it!) if you ever suffer chafing.
Note: each of these events needs ONE more volunteer. The job at Burton Fleming is standing at the crossroads at the top of Bartindale to spot traffic. The 25TT on Sunday morning needs a timekeeper. As the riders are likely to be spaced further apart, it’s not vital to have another pair of eyes to spot rider numbers. (I will hold up riders at the start – I’ll just go off last.)
Please email me if you can help at either of these events.
